Lake Tahoe is one of those places that feels timeless. Every time I visit, I end up photographing it from a new perspective — the way the light dances off the water, the stillness between the rocks, and the way sunset settles over the Sierra Nevada like a sigh.
I’ve been fortunate to visit several times over the last 10 years, most recently in 2023. Each trip has its own rhythm: a quiet drive through the mountains, a stop at my favorite bbq spot, and time spent exploring local art galleries or just sitting by the lake watching the day end.
This photograph, taken at sunset, is one of those peaceful moments that remind me why I travel — to slow down, to look deeper, and to capture the kind of beauty that doesn’t need to say anything at all.
